The rooms at Hotel Krämerbrücke are designed in an individual, cheery, but still functional way – and with plenty of attention to detail: every piece of furniture in the 85 rooms of the main house has been individually manufactured. The entire building is dominated by natural colours and materials that provide a friendly atmosphere. The fresh renovatet rooms in the "Haus zum Roten Turm", situated directly on the Merchants' Bridge, are a special highlight.
The famous Merchants' Bridge is situated right next to the hotel. Just like the "Ponte Vecchio" in Florence, it features a contained row of timbered houses on both sides. It is the only construction of this type north of the Alps. One of the oldest of these timbered houses is the "Haus zum Roten Turm" ("House at the Red Tower"). It stems from the year 1460 and was last restored in 2004. As part of this work, six individual hotel rooms were created on two levels, lovingly designed with modest and reserved furnishings.
The listed prices are per room and include statutory VAT (7% for lodgings, 19% for breakfast and all other services) but do not include the culture tax (5% of the gross price of accommodation).
As of 1 January 2011, the city of Erfurt charges a culture tax to the amount of 5% of the gross price of accommodation. This tax must be paid directly at the hotel upon departure for all paid accommodation. According to tax regulations, as a hospitality business, we are required to collect this tax and pay it to the city of Erfurt.
